For our third Urban Legend of October, we discuss the many spooky happenings at Lake Sidney Lanier in Georgia. In the 1950's, 56,000 acres of farmland was purchased by the US Army Corps of Engineers to create a dam an reservoir to provide Atlanta and its surrounding counties with drinking water and hydroelectric power. However, ever since its inception, the lake has been plagued by mysterious deaths and accidents, and many locals believe the lake is cursed. But what caused this curse? And is anyone safe while vacationing at Lake Lanier?
